First created over 400 years ago in a small fishing village outside Galway, the Irish claddagh design shows a heart held by two hands with a crown above. The claddagh design represents friendship, love and loyalty, and it has been used for centuries in Ireland as a friendship, wedding and engagement ring. This eye-catching design by Fado is unique in that it includes not only the heart, hands and crown of the claddagh design, but also an Irish "Trinity Knot" on each cuff, a three-side Celtic knotwork design which is often featured on Irish high crosses. Available in a women's ring with a heart and crown that measure approximately 12 mm in height, and a men's ring with a bold 14 mm heart and crown.
